Effective Date: September 14, 2026 · Last Updated: September 14, 2026

Welcome to FestiPal. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and FestiPal ("we," "our," or "us"), governing your access to and use of the FestiPal website located at festipal.in and our progressive web and mobile applications (the "Service").

By accessing or using FestiPal, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please refrain from using our Service.

1. Description of the Service

FestiPal is a community-first digital festival companion platform. We provide users with curated festival guides, interactive pandal maps, crowd density estimations, transit and walking routes, public amenity locations, and live condition telemetry.

2. User Accounts and Authentication

To access certain features (such as saving favorite pandals, reporting live crowd conditions, or flagging map corrections), you may create an account using Google Single Sign-On (SSO) or email authentication.

  • You agree to provide accurate and truthful information during sign-in.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your device and login sessions.
  • You must notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.

3. Acceptable Use and Community Rules

You agree to use FestiPal solely for lawful and personal purposes. You agree NOT to:

  • Submit fraudulent, defamatory, offensive, or intentionally misleading information (including falsified crowd reports or false discrepancy reports).
  • Use automated scrapers, crawlers, or bots to harvest data, maps, or pandal listings from our servers without prior written authorization.
  • Interfere with, overburden, or disrupt the operation of our servers, databases, or API infrastructure.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or circumvent any security or authentication mechanism.

4. User-Submitted Content

When you submit crowd reports, weather updates, or pandal corrections on FestiPal ("User Content"):

  • You retain ownership of your content. However, you grant FestiPal a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute such content in connection with the Service.
  • You represent that you have the necessary rights to submit the content and that it does not infringe upon any third-party intellectual property or privacy rights.
  • We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or is reported as inappropriate.

5. Disclaimers & Festival Navigation Notice

FestiPal is an informational guide. Crowd updates, transit timings, route suggestions, and pandal opening times are estimates derived from community reports and public feeds.

Festival events and pandal areas can be subject to dynamic crowd management, road closures, and traffic diversions imposed by local police and civil defense authorities. Users must always prioritize their safety and adhere strictly to on-ground police directives, official public safety advisories, and emergency protocols.

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or continuous availability.

6. Intellectual Property

All text, branding, logos, trademarks, design assets, and software code on FestiPal (excluding User Content) are the exclusive property of FestiPal and protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or redistribute any part of the site without our prior written consent.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FestiPal, its founders, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or personal goodwill resulting from:

  • Your access to, use of, or inability to access or use the Service;
  • Any conduct or content of any third party or user on the Service;
  • Any travel delays, crowd congestion, or routing discrepancies during festival navigation.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in harmful activity toward the community or platform.
